Chippa United are looking for a new coach to lead them when the new season starts in August
The Chilli Boys survived relegation on the last day of the season following a goalless draw with Lamontville Golden Arrows.
Chippa chairman Siviwe ‘Chppa’ Mpengesi confirmed to Ink Sport that he has decided against renewing Lehlohonolo Seema’s contract .
The former Lesotho national team captain was given a mandate to be in charge of the Chilli Boys’ last four matches of the season where he managed to pick up four points and saved the team from relegation or finishing in a play-off spot.
“No, we are not going to continue with Seema. The arrangement that we had was that he was going to be in charge until the last match of the season. There was nothing beyond that. I’m now busy looking for a new coach,” Mpengesi said.
Mpengesi is notorious for hiring and firing, with over 30 coaching changes – including ones that have had more than two spells in the dugout – in the last 12 years, and 16 of those coming in the previous six years.
