Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to get one over their rivals Orlando Pirates when the sides meet in a Soweto derby clash on Saturday.
Amakhosi edged the Buccaneers 1-0 in the first round of the season thanks to a wonder goal that was scored by midfielder Yusuf Maart who scored with a long range shot from his own half of the field.
Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane says it will be nice for his team to beat Pirates again.
“I would say it was good for us to win the last one, because we always want to win when we play against Pirates, but not only Pirates, every game we participate in,” said Zwane.
Chiefs captain Keagan Dolly says Amakhosi have put their disappointing result against Golden Arrows behind them and are looking forward to the derby.
Amakhosi let a lead slip twice and eventually lost 3-2 to a spirited Abafana Bes’thende outfit last Sunday.
“What happened last week is in the past. Our focus is on the big one this weekend. I think, for us as a Club and a team, we always want to win whenever we go onto the pitch no matter who we are playing against,” commented Dolly.
“To all our supporters and everyone involved at the Club, we know what is at stake this weekend, us as players especially. It is the one game we know we go into knowing we don’t need any extra motivation.”
