Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has responded to fan chants after their shock defeat to Golden Arrows this past weekend.
This comes after a section of Chiefs fans booed Zwane and chanted “Arthur must go! Arthur must go” following their 3-2 loss to Abafana Bes’thende at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking to the media after the loss, Zwane said the Amakhosi fans are “within their rights” to voice their concerns.
“Look, it’s within their rights. I mean they are disappointed. They believe we should have won this game,” said Zwane.
“I also believe we should have wrapped it up in the first half. We let ourselves down and I understand their frustration. We had a number of chances,” he added.
“We let ourselves down, and I understand their frustration. We had a number of chances.
“Today is one game for me [that I think] we should have scored at least six from the first half, and you look at the second half.
“We ended up conceding three goals unnecessarily. But it is one of those things where you have a bad day at the office.”
Chiefs will look to bounce back to winning ways when they face Orlando Pirates in a Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium this coming Saturday.
