Swallows have announced the appointment of former Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp as the club’s new head coach.
The German coach has signed a three-year deal with the Dube Birds, the club announced on Thursday.
Middendorp replaces Dylan Kerr who was fired by the club in September after a poor start to the season.
The former Chiefs and Maritzburg mentor joins Swallows who are currently languishing at the bottom half of the DStv Premiership standings. The Birds are currently lying 14th on the log.
