Benni McCarthy has offered a message of support to Daine Klate following his sacking by Chippa United.
Klate was fired by Chippa after his side’s 1-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday. He was in charge of the Gqeberha-based side for only seven games.
“What a big shame on Daine Klate, I know football is a result-driven sport but when you don’t give a coach time to change the team’s fortune[s], what chance is there for anyone,” wrote McCarthy on social media.
“You should be proud of what you [have] done so early in your coaching career. Bigger things await you.”
McCarthy, who is now an attacking coach at Manchester United, was axed by AmaZulu in March. Prior to the AmaZulu gig, the former Bafana Bafana striker was the head coach of Cape Town City.
