Sunday will feature a mouthwatering meeting of two of the in-form sides as Manchester United host Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s side are the only team left with a 100 per cent record, while United have won their last three matches.
Erik Ten Hag’s United recorded a third successive win on Thursday night when beating bottom side Leicester City at the King Power Stadium and Sunday’s match will pose an altogether different test, against an Arsenal team that is top of the league.
“What we see in this moment is that they are on top because they deserve it,” Erik told the United website. “They’re playing good football and we are really looking forward to facing them to find a way to win.”
The Gunners have only lost once to the Red Devils in our last eight meetings. However, manager Mikel Arteta says his players must only focus on getting the result on Sunday and not think about what happened in the past.
“I don’t want any of my players thinking that way because they are good enough to go out and win the match,” Arteta told the Arsenal website. “I think we have the belief that that can happen. If not, it is better to stay at home.
“We have gone through things like that when we hadn’t won at Stamford Bridge for 20 or something years, but you need to believe that you will do that. If you can play the way you want to play, you will win football matches.
“It’s not something new [winning at Old Trafford]. We’ve done it, we have to do it again and we have to believe from today, yesterday and straight after the game that we are capable of going there and playing how we want in the match.”
