Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi believes his team should have won the game against Sekhukhune United.
This come after the Brazilians were held to a 1-1 draw by Babina Noko at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
“I think it’s a game that we should have won first half. But we did not take our chances and second half, fortunately for them, they got a good break from our restart, and then equalised,” Mngqithi told reporters after the game.
“Honestly speaking, I think it’s a game that statistically we dominated fully, more than 80% and above ball possession. More than 14 shots at goals, but disappointing to only get four (on target) shots at goals.”
“Very good counter-pressing moments to kill their counter attacks. I think the team played generally very well.
“But when you don’t take your chances, and the momentum is still favourable, sometimes it comes back to bite you,” added Mngqithi.
