Marumo Gallants coach Dan Malesela was not happy that his team lost to a ‘beatable’ Kaizer Chiefs.
This comes after Amakhosi edged Gallants 1-0 at FNB Stadium, courtesy of a Keagan Dolly deflected shot on Tuesday night.
“A game of so many errors, we’ve never played like this before, this is our worst performance ever,” Malesela told SuperSport TV.
“With no disrespect but against what looks like a very beatable team you know and then we can’t pass, we can’t trap you know.
“Our choices are bad I don’t think there is much that we did right, defending also very shaky.”
Asked if his players’ minds were on the final against Mamelodi Sundowns on May 28, Malesela said: “I’m trying to move away from this thing that I know when you qualify for a final, what happens? But I thought the players were stronger than that and we spoke.
“We emphasized this thing that we cannot just be carried away by just getting to the final, we have to prepare ourselves for the final and win matches. And now if this is the preparation that we’re making then we’ll be in a big trouble.
“Now the chances of a top eight are getting slimmer by the day, we’ll try and coach and let’s see where can go.”
Gallants’ next league match is against Golden Arrows on Saturday.
