Ronwen Williams says Bafana Bafana’s upcoming international friendlies against Sierra Leone and Botswana won’t be a walk in the park.
South Africa will face Sierra Leone on Saturday and Botswana on Tuesday, both games will be played at FNB Stadium.
“We need to regain our confidence, but it’s not a given that we will do this against either Botswana or Sierra Leone, because on the African continent there are no easy opponents, we will give our all. It’s about putting our best boot forward,” said the Bafana captain.
Bafana coach Hugo Broos has called a host of youngsters for the two friendlies and Williams backs them to do well.
“I was a junior player once, I know what it is like to get a call-up, your first cap, or even your first camp. Memories are made from moments like these and it is important to share with the younger players the reality of why they are here, and the hard road that lies ahead to qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).”
