The Chairman and CEO of Paris Saint-Germain, accompanied by Leo Messi, answered questions from journalists at the official presentation of Paris’ new signing.
THE ARRIVAL OF LEO MESSI
“I’m very happy and proud to present Lionel Messi as a new Paris Saint-Germain player. It’s an incredible and historic moment for the club and for world football. Everybody knows that Leo is the only player to have won six Ballons d’Or, he makes football marvellous and magical. Seeing him with us is fantastic for our supporters, and for all our fans the world over.”
THE CLUB’S PROJECT
“We have an incredible project. 10 years ago, when we arrived, people asked us what we were going to do in Paris. We have great ambitions and a great football project. We are very happy today, and thanks to the work of everybody at the club, we’re working very well in order to achieve our objectives. I would like to thank Leo, his family and his team. We wanted to sign him and he wanted to join us. We’re very happy that it’s come to pass.”

THE OBJECTIVES
“Our objective is known to everybody, we want to win every match we play, and we play in order to win as many trophies as possible. Leo’s arrival could help us achieve these objectives. In order to win, you need to have the mentality of a competitor, and be disciplined. That is what we are constructing in Paris.”
