Maxwel Cornet’s third goal in two matches helped Burnley to their first win of the season as they claimed a 3-1 victory over Brentford.
Chris Wood put Burnley ahead in the fourth minute when he collected Matthew Lowton’s long pass and lobbed the ball over Alvaro Fernandez.
Nick Pope saved from Ivan Toney to keep Burnley’s lead intact before the hosts added two goals in four minutes.
Charlie Taylor’s cross was headed in by Lowton on 32 minutes before Cornet curled in after a solo run and shot from outside the area.
Wood headed wide at the start of the second half before Pope saved Christian Norgaard’s long-range shot.
Norgaard teed up Saman Ghoddos to volley in a consolation for Brentford with 11 minutes remaining.
Burnley move up to 17th with seven points, five behind Brentford who remain 12th.
