Michail Antonio scored his sixth goal of the season to give West Ham a 1-0 home win over Tottenham Hotspur, a victory which moves the Hammers up to fourth place.
West Ham nearly grabbed the opener on eight minutes through Pablo Fornals’ acrobatic effort but Hugo Lloris kept the ball out.
Tomas Soucek fired over for the Hammers but as Spurs grew into the match so did their attacking threat, with Son Heung-min’s low drive saved by Lukasz Fabianski.
The West Ham goalkeeper then tipped Harry Kane’s bullet header over before Antonio, who has scored more goals against Spurs than any other side, steered the ball beyond Lloris from Aaron Cresswell’s 73rd-minute corner.
West Ham’s third win in four takes them to 17 points. Spurs drop to sixth with 15 points.
