Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne will miss Wednesday’s Premier League game with Aston Villa as the club determine the severity of an injury to his right foot and ankle.
The Belgian went off in the 48th minute of Saturday’s 1-0 FA Cup semi-final defeat by Chelsea at Wembley.
A club statement read: “The extent of the problem is not yet known. Kevin will continue to be reviewed.”
Premier League leaders Manchester City have three games in the next nine days.
The Carabao Cup final against Tottenham follows on Sunday and the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Paris St-Germain is on Wednesday, 28 April.
De Bruyne has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the club this season, netting eight and assisting 15 goals.
He is also a key player for Belgium, who play in the European Championship which starts on 11 June.
