Leeds United have confirmed the departure of head coach Jesse Marsch.
The announcement came after a 1-0 defeat by Nottingham Forest left the club out of the relegation zone on goal difference only.
Marsch had taken over from Marcelo Bielsa in February 2022 and secured Leeds’ Premier League status on the final day of the season, with a 2-1 win at Brentford.
A club statement said: “Rene Maric, Cameron Toshack and Pierre Barrieu will also leave the club.
“We would like to thank Jesse and his backroom staff for their efforts and wish them well for the future.
“The process of appointing a new head coach is under way and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days.”
