Former England defender Gary Cahill has announced his retirement from football.
Cahill played 394 matches in the Premier League for Aston Villa, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea and Crystal Palace, producing 28 goals and 11 assists from centre-back and contributing to 103 clean sheets.
The 36-year-old won two Premier League titles during an eight-season spell at Chelsea, where he also helped them to lift the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, two FA Cups and a League Cup.
Cahill spent seven-and-a-half seasons at Stamford Bridge, helping Chelsea lift eight major honours including two Premier League titles and that memorable maiden Champions League crown, which came just months after he signed from Bolton Wanderers.
He was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2016/17.
Cahill also made 61 appearances for England, scoring five times.
