Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they have reached agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Steven Bergwijn.
Bergwijn signed a five-year contract with the Dutch giants on Friday morning.
“Signed from PSV Eindhoven in January, 2020, the Netherlands international marked his debut with the opening goal in a 2-0 win against Manchester City and scored our first goal on football’s return from lockdown against Manchester United in June, 2020.
“Stevie went on to make 81 appearances for us in all competitions, scoring eight goals, including a memorable double in injury time to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 victory against Leicester City in January last season,” read a statement from Spurs.
The Dutch international says he is very happy to be back at his former club.
“I want to prove myself at the highest level,” Bergwijn told the Ajax website after his unveiling.
