Southampton have lost 13 of their last 19 Premier League matches against Spurs (W3 D3), although they drew 1-1 earlier this season. Saints haven’t avoided defeat in both meetings with them in a season since 2003/04 (W2).
Harry Kane has been directly involved in 17 goals in 12 Premier League starts for Spurs against Southampton (11 goals and six assists), and has scored five goals in his last three at home against Saints. Kane has been involved in more goals against Southampton than any other player in Premier League history.
Southampton have dropped 20 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, with only Newcastle United dropping more (21). Saints have drawn five of their last seven league matches after taking the lead (W2).
