CAF News – Tanzania coach Kim Paulsen revealed his 27-man squad for International FIFA date friendly against Malawi on 13th of June.
Danish Paulsen, who returned to coach Tanzania team for the second spell last February, retained most of the players that featured in the Total African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in March.
Mbeya City forward Denis Kibu, who bagged eight goals so far in the ongoing Tanzania top-flight, received his first call up.
Paulsen recalled seven players from Tanzania Champions Simba SC that inspired in the Total CAF Champions league before being eliminated by Kaizer Chiefs in the quarterfinal.
“I called a mixture of young players, senior and others that ply their trade abroad. The intention is to have a regular team that will not change every time. We called players that are technically and mentally strong to play for the Taifa Stars.
“We will start our training on 5 June. We are starting our early preparations for the World Cup Qualifiers. We will play Malawi, one of the teams that qualified for the next edition of Total Africa Cup of Nations. This game will show us a way forward,” Paulsen said.
