Cameroon’s Coton Sport scored at the last minute to defeat Senegal’s Jaraaf 1-0 in Garoua on Sunday, at the first leg of the 2020-21 Total CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal.
Lambert Araina scored in the 90th minute to give the Cameroonians what looked to be a deserved win after they dominated the game from the start.
Coton was the better side but found it difficult to penetrate the Senegalese defense and goalkeeper Pape Ndiaye who stood tall until the last seconds of the match.
In the second half, the Coton Sport players increased the pace against resolute Jaraaf defense.
It was not till the last minute of the game where they find their needed goal through araina to have the minimum of advantages before the return leg in Thies next Sunday.
